The energy storage motor can automatically store energy for the closing spring of the circuit breaker operating mechanism. When the circuit breaker is closed, the energy storage motor automatically re-stores the closing spring immediately. In case of power failure or maintenance, the closing spring can be manually stored (through the built-in energy storage handle of the operating mechanism).

VD4 circuit breakers are designed/manufactured in strict compliance with standards and can be used in humid, hot and salty climates. All critical components are specially treated to withstand Class C ambient environments as defined by UNI9223-2012. Galvanizing process is carried out according to GB/T9799 standard, classification number is Fe/Zn12, thickness is 12μ m, and according to GB/T
9800 standard for color chromate passivation. As a result of these measures, the VD4 circuit breaker and its accessories meet the following criteria for assessment:

When a closing command and an opening command (remote or local) exist at the same time, the circuit breaker will continuously open and close repeatedly. The trip prevention device ensures that if a closing operation is followed by an opening operation, the previous closing command will not cause a second closing operation, thus preventing adverse conditions from occurring. If the second closing operation is to be carried out, the previous closing command must first disappear and then be reissued. In addition, the trip prevention device enables the circuit breaker to be closed only if the following conditions are met:

The insulation performance of the new generation VD4 spring-charged motor 1 YHB000000107 at altitude decreases with the increase of altitude, so the influence of this phenomenon on the external insulation of the switch must be considered when using it at high altitude. The insulation inside the interrupter will not be affected in any way, because its insulation capacity is guaranteed by vacuum. If the switch is installed at an altitude above 1000 m, the effect of altitude should be taken into account at the design stage of insulating components. In this case, a correction factor must be taken into account, which can be found in the diagram on the right, which is based on GB/T 11022 and IEC 62271-1 standards. An example of a calculation based on the correction principle described above is given below:

Ka coefficient, from the chart: Ka=1.13
From the above parameters, the component must be able to withstand (zero meters above sea level).
Test conditions):
■ Power frequency withstand voltage: 42x1.13=47.5 kVrms
■ Lightning impulse withstand voltage: 75x1.13=84.7 kVp
The above calculation results show that circuit breakers used at high altitudes must be capable of withstanding higher insulation level tests at zero altitude.
